    CONTENT OF COURSE:

    Day 1

     

    Section 1  First Aid in the workplace

    Section 2  Patient assessment , Recovery position

    Section 3 Respiratory emergencies , Heart Attack , Shock, Stroke

    Section 4 Wounds, Bleeding, Bandaging

     

    Day 2

     

    Cardiac First Response Training

    Session 1 Chain of Survival, Initial Patient Assessment, Recovery Position, Barrier Devices

    Session 2  Heart Attack / Administration of Aspirin, Cardiac Arrest, Stroke, Foreign Body Airway Obstruction (FBAO)

    Session 3 CPR Adult, AED Adult, Child FBAO / CPR

    Session 4 Legal Issues, Recognition of Death, Critical Incident Stress, Documentation

     

    Day 3

     

    Section 1 Altered levels of consciousness

    Section 2 Musculoskeletal injuries, Slings

    Section 3 Burns, Scalds, Chemicals, Poison, Electric shock

    Section 4 Epilepsy, Diabetes
