AIM

This is a Report of Thorough Examination course designed for employees who have a responsibility for issuing, storing, pre-use and in-service inspection, condemning or acquiring lifting equipment and for persons required to carry out thorough examination on lifting accessories, equipment and small plant.

 

Pre-Requisite

No previous experience required, but a knowledge of lifting accessories and equipment would be an advantage and that the learner has completed basic training in Health and Safety and environment,

e.g. Safepass or equivalent.

 

Course Duration

2 days.

 

Maximum Number

8 persons.

 

Training Aids

Lecture notes, audio visual presentation and specific items of rigging equipment.

 

Assessment

Written and practical test.

 

Certification

On successful completion of the course candidates will receive an NPORS ID Card & certificate valid for 5 years.

On completion of this course the learner will be capable of:

  • Be able to locate, identify and explain different types of lifting equipment, accessories and Examine their basic construction, explain their uses, applications and functions.
